***Fifty-two percent of American adults are certain there is a Hell, and 27 percent think there might be, according to a poll published by USA Today. Those who believe in Hell are almost evenly split on whether it is a real place where people suffer eternal fiery torment (48 percent), or whether it is an anguished state of existence (46 percent).

GOD USES TRACTS—DO YOU?

HOW WE GOT STARTED:

One lesson ingrained in me, Barbara, as a student at Bob Jones University many years ago was to be a witness of God’s love wherever I go. Many of us students started Good New Clubs in nearby communities, preached on the street corners and handed out tracts everywhere plus worked in local churches. Even in the summer breaks we had to do some form of evangelism and report what God was doing. I’ve heard so many stories of people being saved from reading a Gospel tract. George Muller, himself saved through a tract, prayed for tract distribution every day for more than forty years. He said, "Sending tracts in letters brings lasting results."

ARE YOU READY?

In the Gospel of Mark 13 in the Bible, our Lord tells us of the last days—of wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, children rising up against their parents and to watch and pray for His second coming. Are we not living in the last days according to God’s prophetic Word in Mark 13 and other passages? Our group feels our Lord’s return is so imminent that we feel such an urgency to get out the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our city, America and the world. One way our group is accomplishing this is by sending out a tract to every home in our mission field of Springfield, Rogersville, Ozarks, Missouri which we have done since 1994. Another way is on the Internet website using our tracts that we have sent out locally. Our desire is for Springfield, Rogersville, Ozarks, America and the World to find Jesus Christ for real peace and happiness and assurance of Heaven some day as we all have experienced in our lives.

SILENT MISSIONARY name was chosen since the tracts act as a missionary now reaching around the world with the printed Word…reaching every home for Christ in Springfield, Rogersville, Missouri as a "silent missionary".

"I (Apostle Paul) have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour." I Corinthians 3:6,8

"So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

 Our group consists of a businessman, Sr. Citizens, disabled individuals, housewives and children who all have experienced firsthand God’s love and gift of salvation in their lives. With their help I promised God, "Lord Jesus, I promise to send out a Gospel tract to every home listed in the phone book in Springfield if it takes 'til the day I die." This began (1993) our Silent Missionary Mission Project with the blessings of our pastor Dr. Kenneth Gillming (Cherry Street Baptist Church), Brother Aynes and his pastor, Rev. Fortson. We couldn't have sent out thousands of tracts without everyone's support and help.

I shared my desire with them that I’d love to get our tracts we’ve sent out on the Internet to reach more people with the Gospel since our Lord’s return is so imminent. And the Lord opened that door! May of 1999 we finished sending a Gospel tract to every home listed in the Springfield telephone book to 68,948 homes! We hope other Christians will do the same in their cities and towns across America.

A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM US TO YOU: YOU’RE SPECIAL! YOU ARE LOVED!

It is so true that each one of us is so special to God!

Even more so we are so precious to God—Psalm 139:17 tells us that "How precious are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If we should count them, they are more in number than the sand."

He (God) cares so much for you and me. He feels our pain; He shares our sorrow. He loves us so much that He gave His only Son to die on a cross at Calvary for our sins (He took our place).

The Bible says: "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation (full payment) for our sins." 1 John 4:1

God wants to forgive us that’s how special we are to Him. He gives us this free gift of salvation when we confess our sins and trust Him as our Savior.

Won’t you, my dear friend, come to Him today trusting Jesus Christ for your salvation and His blood will wash you clean of all your sins. Wow–what a great God we have! Oh, how special and precious you are to Him to offer you His forgiveness. We care too for you and pray you will trust in Jesus today! God loves YOU so much. John 3:16."For God so loved the world (YOU) that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
